Venice Beach Phoenix

Whenever I find myself lost, an untethered soul, I often find myself again. I find myself again with knowledge gained and a heightened gratitude for life. I felt like a phoenix when I took these pictures. I came out of the ashes of the darkness of society (post Trump, post personal) and I'm rising towards the sun, towards light.

Big thanks to the thrift store for mom jeans that are always comfy when I want to dance with the sun and a huge thanks to Missguided for this awesome shirt. I was pretty apprehensive since UK sizes tend to not translate well for black women, but luckily everything fit perfectly. Here's a link to the goodies! I mean how often do we get to indulge in ruffles and the color red without looking like a Flamenco dancer?

Be a phoenix. Rise again.
