Day 2: Self Love Series

"One of the best guides to how to be self-loving is to give ourselves the love we are often dreaming about receiving from others. There was a time when I felt lousy about my over-forty body, saw myself as too fat, too this, or too that. Yet I fantasized about finding a lover who would give me the gift of being loved as I am. It is silly, isn’t it, that I would dream of someone else offering to me the acceptance and affirmation I was withholding from myself. This was a moment when the maxim “You can never love anybody if you are unable to love yourself” made clear sense. And I add, “Do not expect to receive the love from someone else you do not give yourself.”

The love which fills you must first overflow before it is given. Love is not manifested by giving it to others  all the time, that's not the only way to display how big your heart is. Learning to love yourself is one of the bravest things you can do, for you can begin to love without conditions. When we love with conditions that means our love hinges upon something that we want or seek, but when love is sought in yourself, you will begin to love for love, not to seek love.
There's a couple of sentences I tell myself almost everyday, which I encourage you to say before the day is done.
I am love. I am kind. I am great. I am beautiful. REPEAT.
As you say this each day remind yourself that not only are you capable of love, but you deserve love. It all begins with you because self-love is the best love!
Have a terrific day beautiful people,
Peace and Love
